The project has been launched in order to implement the new scheme of the state government “Stree Yojana Yojana” headed by Basavaraja Bommai.
Chief Minister of the state Basavaraja Bommai has launched this “Stree Yojana Yojana” and promised self-employment to the women of the state.
This project will be implemented on an end-to-end basis.
The CM expressed happiness that Canara Bank and Meesho organizations have joined hands in this effort of the government to empower rural women.
Assistance for Self-Employment The Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood is providing assistance to women SHGs for self-employment with the help of Livelihood Programs of Government of India and also under ELEVATE Yojana.
Bommai opined that these programs need to be scaled up and managed at a micro level. It is commendable that Canara Bank has selected self-help groups of the state for the ‘Samarthya’ scheme for women. Women should be involved in economic activities.
