The first phase of the project involves the construction of a large single housing and family housing complex at Doddaballapur.For the first time in the country, the Labor Department is implementing Shramika Niwas Housing Scheme for the Shramikas. There is provision for collective accommodation in the single-person complex, accommodation facility for 96 workers in single bed system and 196 workers under double bed system. Priority has been given to basic infrastructure including water and electricity for workers and their families in housing complexes. These residential complexes are managed by the department itself. This facility will be available to the workers having Labor Board Identity Card.This ambitious project implemented by the state labor department will solve the long-term housing problem of the laboring class, especially the migrant workers.

As the first phase of this project, “Shramik Niwas – Large Housing Complex” is set to be inaugurated in Doddaballapur taluk. A large single residential and family residential complex is under construction at Badanahalli, an industrial zone in Doddaballapur taluk. About 19 crores. This cost-constructed housing system is divided into two parts, with the possibility of collective housing in the single-person complex.
