The Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri Basavaraja Bommai launched various government schemes to empower the youth of rural and urban areas with the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Yojana. Under this scheme, youth self-help groups will be formed in every 28,000 villages with an amount of Rs 1.5 lakh for each self-help group. The scheme links SHGs to banks to create jobs in rural areas and provides a loan of Rs 5 lakh to each group.
10,000 has been directly deposited by the government into the accounts of the youth. 10,000 has been credited to each account by the Karnataka State Government. For the remaining groups, 10,000 rounds of funds will be directly credited to their respective groups. , two or two Swami Vivekananda Self Help Societies will be formed in each Gram Panchayat in the next 2 weeks.
Objective of Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Yojana
Empowering the youth of the state by providing opportunities for self-employment and economic activities.
To form Self Help Groups having minimum 10 members and maximum 20 members. in every 28,000 villages
Providing continuous self-employment to self-help groups.
To provide loans of Rs.5 lakhs to each SHG from banks.
To connect 5 lakh youth to this Karnataka Yuva Shakti Yojana.
Benefits of Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Yojana
Youth will be able to undertake self-employment and economic activities in the state.
Yuva Shakti Yojana will enhance youth empowerment in rural areas of the state.
This scheme covers about 5 lakh youth in rural areas.
A subsidy of Rs 1 lakh will be given to each youth group.
Providing bank loans to businesses up to Rs. 5 lakh per group as per eligibility criteria.
Provision of loan repayment holiday period for initial 6 months.

Applicants should be between 18 years and 29 years of age.
Applicants must be a resident of Karnataka state to avail the benefits of this scheme.

SHGs should consist of minimum 10 to maximum 20 members.
Swami Vivekananda is forming youth self-help societies in your Gram Panchayats.
