The main objective of Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVS) is to promote organic farming in India by providing financial assistance to farmers for the development and maintenance of organic farming on their farms. The objective of the scheme is to bring more land under organic farming, increase the productivity of organic crops and improve the livelihood of farmers.
Some specific objectives of PKVS are:
Encouraging the use of traditional and locally adapted agricultural practices
To promote crop diversification and cultivation of high value crops
Installation of vermicompost units and biopesticide units
Development and strengthening of marketing infrastructure for organic products
Providing training and capacity building to farmers and other stakeholders involved in organic farming.
This scheme is implemented by Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. Under this scheme farmers will get 30000 rupees every year
Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana 2023 Eligibility
To avail the benefit of the traditional agriculture development scheme run by the central government, the applicant should have the following eligibility, their complete details are given below:-
Documents of PKVY Scheme 2023
Paramparagat Krishi Vikasa Yojana (PKVY) Yojana, also known as Bioj Kheti Yojana, requires farmers to submit certain documents to be eligible for financial assistance under this scheme.
Documents Required for PKVY Scheme:
Application Form: Farmers have to fill the application form available in Agriculture Department or online.
Land Document: Farmers must provide proof of ownership of the land they wish to practice organic farming. This may include land documents, sale deeds or revenue documents.
PAN Card: The farmer must provide a copy of his Permanent Account Number (PAN) card, which is a mandatory requirement to avail the benefits of any government scheme.
Farmer’s Identity Card: Farmers should produce a photocopy of the Farmer’s Identity Card issued by the Department of Agriculture.
Bank Account Details: Farmers are required to provide his/her bank account details including account number and IFSC code for depositing financial assistance.
Letter of Recommendation: Farmers should provide a letter of recommendation from the concerned Agriculture Department of the State Government confirming that the applicant is engaged in organic farming activities.
Organic Farming Plan: Farmers must provide a detailed organic farming plan detailing the crops to be grown, the inputs to be used and the expected results of the organic farming activities.
Self-declaration certificate: The farmer should provide a self-declaration certificate confirming that he/she is not receiving any financial assistance from any government scheme for similar activities.
To apply for the scheme, farmers can contact the nearest Agricultural Science Center or Agricultural Technology Management Institute or District Horticulture Officer or District Agriculture Officer.
