and management of National Highways entrusted to it and for matters connected therewith or incidental
thereto.

Method of Recruitment Contract basis through open advertisement
Period of Contract Initial tenure of engagement will be for a period of two years in
the first instance, which may be further extended by one more
year, based on the requirements of the NHAI and the satisfactory performance. NHAI reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time, without assigning any reason.
Remuneration (per month)
(i) In respect of retired officers who are in receipt of pension
from public funds : Rs.1,60,000/- (all inclusive) + Transport
Allowance, as applicable in terms of EP/YP Guidelines dated
21.06.2017 (amended from time to time).
(ii). In respect of retired officers who are not in receipt of pension
from public funds : Rs. 1,75,000/- (all inclusive) + Transport
Allowance, as applicable in terms of EP/YP Guidelines dated
21.06.2017 (amended from time to time).
Educational qualification and experience required
(i) Degree of recognized University / Institute in Science group
subject (The essential educational qualification is not
mandatory in case of the officers retired from
forest/agriculture/horticulture/social forestry department who
have relevant experience.)
(ii) Retired officers from Central/State Govt./PSUs/Autonomous
Bodies, at the level equivalent to Joint Secretary and above
(iii) 20 years’ of experience in the field of Forestry or Agricultural
or Horticulture or Environment.
Age limit Not exceeding 65 years as on the prescribed date of receipt of

from public funds : Rs. 1,25,000/- (all inclusive) + Transport
Allowance, as applicable in terms of EP/YP Guidelines dated
21.06.2017 (amended from time to time).
6 Educational qualification
and experience required
I. Degree of recognized University / Institute in Science

forest/agriculture/horticulture/social forestry department
who have relevant experience.)
II. Retired officers from Central/State
Govt./PSUs/Autonomous Bodies, not below the level of
Conservator of Forests or Deputy Secretary/Director
III. 15 years’ of experience in the field of Forestry or
Agricultural or Horticulture or Environment.
IV. Reasonable experience in the Forest (including Wildlife)
& Environment (including CRZ) Clearances and issues
w.r.t Environment Impact Assessment (EIA)/
Environment Management Plans (EMP) etc.
Age limit Not exceeding 65 years as on the prescribed date of receipt of
